Service Opportunities

* "We are His Hands" at LCMS Servant Events has Nationwide service projects to be involved in across the United States  http://servantevents.lcms.org for more information. 

* I have a volunteer opportunity I would like to ask you to make available to your students if possible.Someone Cares Tutoring Program is looking for students to help with program after school.  The Program is located at 720 W. 19th Street, Costa Mesa.  Contact person is Betty Hart.  Bettyhart@verizon.net.  Hours are 3-6pm Monday through Thursday. The aim of participation is to develop:

•    Self-reliance
•    Personal accountability
•    Leadership skills
•    Volunteer opportunities

Glorilynn Guest Home is a Senior Assisted Living home.  They are right around the corner from LHSOC and looking for student volunteers who need service hours.  Please contact Jim Wallace at (714) 637-6754.  Click here for directions

  • Blind Children's Learning Center

The BCLC is looking for students to help with their after school program.  The program is from 3:00-6:00 pm.  There are a few requirements for students who would like to help.  Please email Erin Kaufman for more information at volunteercenter@blindkids.org.

Cost: $45 with premium card; $55 with regular card
